Week in Design 2010: #1 + #2

This is the first post of a series of “week in design 2010.” In the next 50 weeks in 2010, I will post every Wednesday a summary of what I find interesting online/around me everyday in the past week.

Wedding invitation by Ty Wilkins.

Clever book cover by Ty as well.

By the design files.

Boarding pass redesign by Tyler Thompson. Here is the website the pass/fail project.

identity design by UK design studio Young.

Learn something every day, also a project by Young.

Bausch + Lomb logo redesign by Pentagram‘s Paula Scher.  There is even a Chinese version! Check out the full article here.

Identity for The Chop Shop by Austin-based PTARMARK/PTMK. Whole post here. (via @behoff great inspirational tweets! If you haven’t followed him, you should be, right now)

A very art nouveau feeling typographical poster by Anagram Press. They also have lots of other very French illustrations and designs. (via @abduzeedo)

I was in New York City this past weekend, and I didn’t bring my laptop with me while I was running all over the city to visit exhibitions and museums. So there are at least 3 inspirations missing in the first post. Sorry, but I will make that up in future posts!
