Week in Design #11

This week’s post features some of my recently discovered inspirational sites to share with everyone.

As you may notice, this is the second time I change the format of Week in Design posts. Instead of finding something everyday for a week and summarizing them altogether on Wednesday, I am trying to go more flexible with this weekly post in order to keep the freshness of the content.

My midterms killed my past two week’s posting schedule, and now I’m back on track!

So here we go:

Photography:

Seamus Ryan’s Sunday Shoots: http://www.sundayshoots.com/index.html

Every Sunday, photographer Seamus Ryan invites visitors to the local market to his studio to participate in shoots. A very interesting project.

72dpi: http://72dpi.cn/

A cultural blog on photography, new art events and news on design.

Design:

ISO 50: Work of Scott Hansen http://iso50.com/iso50.html

Scott Hansen’s work have his own distinctive style: grungy, linear perspective, paper texture, usage of graphic elements.

Angy Chung: http://www.andychung.ca/

Canadian designer Andy Chung’s work is refreshing. My favorite of his projects is this: North American Birds.

a print a day: print designer Yasmine Surovec http://aprintaday.blogspot.com/

Yasmine does a print design a day and other pattern-related cool stuff.

Design Dust: http://designdust.tumblr.com/

“Design Dust is a blog about a collection of photography, graphic design, fashion, architecture and other creative matter.”

Pitch Design Union: http://pitchdesignunion.com/

“A sweet little site for pitch-perfect design.”

That’s all for this week. Enjoy!
