I will read: Design as Art
I, like many others, don’t regard design as art; so when I saw this book on the shelf, I just had to pick it up. Bruno Munari, Italian writer, designer and artist, was known for his design, research on games and toys. Here are some of his work in MoMA:
Maldive Tray, 1960
Eco Del Mondo, (Echo of the World) 1949
L’Ora X clock, 1945
The book is mainly divided into the following sections: Design and Stylists, Visual Design, Graphic Design, Industrial Design and Research Design. Under each section, short essays are listed, which are very short and seem to be easy to read.
I’m excited to see his argument of design as art, and stay tuned for the report!
